Last November we met Daniel Masesa, a Health Worker since 2003 in the village of Nyamwilolewa, Tanzania. Daniel successfully completed our training programme and having received his basic instrument kit from Bridge2Aid, began providing access to safe emergency dental care for his community of approximately 10,000 people.
During August we have two supporters separately climbing to Africa’s rooftop to raise money for our training programmes in East Africa. Towards the end of 2012 we introduced our Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) programme during DVP. The data gathered for M&E allows us to understand the issues faced by the patents living without access to dental care, as well as follow the successful Health Workers’ journeys and impact after participating in our Dental Training Programmes.
New training organisation Aspiradent has recently pledged support for Bridge2Aid and moving forward, will be donating £4 to our training programmes in East Africa for every course booked. A team of 35 drummers were congratulated on Saturday, 13th July having successfully secured a world record for the ‘longest marathon drumming by a team’ whilst raising money and awareness for three oral health charities, including Bridge2Aid.
