On Friday June 6th 2014 we held our first ever national day in partnership with the British Dental Health Foundation for National Smile Month 2014.
Over 320 practices up and down the country (plus our own Hope Dental Centre in Mwanza, Tanzania) spent the day in pink, with various pink raffles, pink bake sales and pink balloons adorning many receptions and waiting rooms in a bid to raise to awareness of the issues surrounding access to safe oral treatment in developing nations.
The day was a huge success and we want to thank everybody who took part – not only did you raise vital funds for our dental training programmes in East Africa, you also had an absolute blast whilst doing it!
We loved seeing all of your photographs (facebook album here) including our very own pink polo shirts which were worn by hundreds of you. These are still for sale for those who would like to purchase one at £14 each (plus P&P). Email liz@bridge2aid.org to place your order.
Again – thank you to everyone who took part. It was just wonderful to welcome so many new organisations into the Bridge2Aid family.
