Last week the Dental team travelled to Mara and Kagera regions to prepare for DVPs taking place later on this year. Inno and Mussa, accompanied by Dr. Samuel, went to the Districts of Bukoba Rural and Karagwe to carry out site selection as well as other logistical preparations for the September programme, while Haji, Simba and I went to the Musoma Rural and Tarime Districts to prepare for the October programmes.
We also managed to carry out spot checks on some Health Workers who had been previously trained in both regions, to see how they were getting along. Both groups worked closely with the District Dental Officers in the respective districts, and all in all the trips were very successful and we look forward to welcoming the volunteers!
