On January 11th, a group of volunteers will fly to Tanzania to take part in our Phase 2 Programme.
The programme will be based in ther District of Sengerema:
- Sengerema is 2 hours from Mwanza by road and ferry
- Its population is 639,103
- 90% of the population are in rural area and 10% of the population are urban
- It has 4 dental trained personnel, the District Dental Officer, Dental Therapist and Dental Auxiliary are based in Sengerema District Designated Hospital and ADO based at a Training Centre in Sengerema.
- The main source of income in local community are farming and fishing.
- The district has 54 secondary schools.
