1 Health Worker and 72 very grateful patients later…

Last November we met Daniel Masesa, a Health Worker since 2003 in the village of Nyamwilolewa, Tanzania. Daniel successfully completed our training programme and having received his basic instrument kit from Bridge2Aid, began providing access to safe emergency dental care for his community of approximately 10,000 people.

8Following on from the introduction of our Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) programme, the M&E team caught up with Daniel earlier this Summer and was able to find out how the training had impacted his work.
We are delighted to report that Daniel has successfully treated 72 patients since his training in November 2012, and has had to refer just 1 patient to the district hospital in 6 months. Daniel continues to be thankful to Bridge2Aid and explained that after almost 10 years of having to turn patients suffering with dental pain away, he is now able to offer free emergency dental care to his grateful community.
We’ll be visiting Daniel again this November coming, and look forward to hearing how his first year has been.
